The AG Systems team is comprised of like-minded individuals that share the same business philosophies through our employee-first commitment. Since our beginnings in 2004, we have strived to provide high-quality, dependable, and cost-effective low voltage contracting services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and fostering long-term. 

Sam Rhodes, RCDD, Principal

As a Managing Partner in AG Systems Sam utilizes his extensive industry knowledge to oversee business development, operations and estimating. With a background in Specialty Systems, Sam specializes in ITS system design, budgeting, and project execution, leveraging 26 years of experience in ITS special systems.

Throughout his career, Sam has held significant roles, including Area Manager at Cable Solutions and Southern Branch Manager at Corporate Technology Solutions. His notable achievements include securing this RCDD certification, leading the ITS systems upgrade for Amphi School District, and contributing to major projects such as Banner new Hospital Tower in Tucson and the new campus operations buildings for TEP.

Sam holds an RCDD in ITS from BICSI, underscoring his expertise and commitment to the industry.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys being outdoors, with hobbies that include hiking and hunting.

Hector Zepeda III, Project Manager

Beginning his career as an entry-level installer in 2014, Hector has steadily grown through the ranks to become a Project Manager and Estimator, bringing with him a decade of experience in the industry. Over the years, he has developed an exceptional understanding of structured cabling, with a particular expertise in fiber optic knowledge and installation techniques.

Hector's work has spanned numerous healthcare facilities, from Carondelet to Banner Health, and many more throughout the Arizona region. He approaches each project with precision, especially when working in medical environments. Safety, planning, and detailed execution are always his top priorities to ensure every task is completed efficiently and safely.

Outside of work, Hector is an avid adventurer. Whether camping, fishing, or overlanding, he finds joy in exploring the great outdoors. He also has a passion for music, often playing guitar wherever he goes, bringing a creative touch to both his personal and professional life.

Alfonso Coy, Project Manager/Systems Integration Engineer

Alfonso thrives where precision meets purpose. With over a decade of hands-on experience in low voltage systems—from structured cabling and fire alarms to CCTV, access control, and AV—he brings a rare blend of technical fluency and field-tested insight to every project. His journey began in college as a CAD drafter for building automation and energy management systems, but curiosity quickly pulled him deeper into the world of fire alarm design and installation.

Since then, Alfonso has worn nearly every hat in the industry: installer, foreman, designer, estimator, and project manager. His portfolio spans school fire alarm upgrades, hotel fiber optic retrofits, and integrated security systems for churches and educational campuses. Certified by NICET and CSA in fire alarm systems, Alfonso continues to push the boundaries of what low voltage design can achieve—always with an eye toward safety, scalability, and smart infrastructure.

Outside of work, Alfonso is a devoted husband to his high school best friend, and together they’ve built a beautiful life over 20 years of marriage with their three children. Faith and family are at the heart of everything he does—from attending church every Sunday to volunteering as a youth bootcamp counselor and ministering in children’s ministry. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, he also coaches youth football, pouring the same energy and care into his community as he does into his career.
